I Understand the Hype Behind Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream Now Plus It’s 30% Off

I grabbed up some Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream last week thanks to the great sale on the Avene website. Currently you can snag any item for 30% off with Free Shipping using code FRIDAY30 (Ulta has Avene on sale for Buy 1, Get 1 40% Off). I hauled a TON of stuff from France late this Summer when I went for on Holiday and I hauled a TON more when I went to Paris last year. The pharmacy is just too tempting when you’re in France and it can be a total playground for skincare lovers. One brand I didn’t haul was Avene! There’s some irony that I have to come all the way back home to grab some Avene but the sale was a good one and I snatched up Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream because it’s having a viral moment and I was tempted. Plus Winter is settling in nicely and the weather is becoming colder so I always love a good hydrating moment around this time of the year.

Black Friday is here and the site has 30% off your total with code FRIDAY30. I know a few of you had messaged to say you’d be trying this when I originally posted it. I’d love to know what you think of it if you got and how it’s working out for you!

That being said, Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream isn’t really something you purchase for moisture alone. It is something you want to purchase to promote a strong skin barrier, something that will repair your skin barrier, and a product to protect and heal it. This is for you if you over exfoliate, go to heavy on the acids, or just have general discomfort from dryness because skincare goods know, dry skin can be a bit more sensitive in the colder weather.

If you experience redness, have more sensitive dry skin, went to hard on the acids, or even used acids that have made you sensitive or irritated, or heck, if you got a sunburn this is what you’ll want to reach for. I’ve been using it under my makeup as a primer of sorts as it creates the smoothest base of my makeup life. In the Winter, I tend to reach for Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. It’s rich, emollient, and works great under makeup. I can safely say Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream is probably going to be my new go to.

This is incredibly rich, very thick, yet it absorbs fully and hydrates without being greasy or too heavy. It really is a miracle product when it comes to providing smooth well hydrated skin but not so hydrated you look shiny or greasy. Makeup applies like a dream on top of this stuff. And yes, it is healing. It’s Fall and with Fall comes ragweed and a million other things that give me a stuff nose and sneezing fits. My nose was pretty dry and crusty before I applied this and after it 100% looks smoother, less red, and the makeup I applied around my nose isn’t all gross and flaky.

One thing to note is it does contain mineral oil and although, it does claim that it won’t clog pores you may find it too thick for oily skin. It contains no fragrance which is good for sensitive users but I question if anyone with oily, acne prone, or pores that get clogged easily will love this. But for the dry skin girls and guys it should be true love.

I struggled believing the hype on this stuff but obviously I was still convinced to check it out after all the ravings I’ve heard and I’m so glad I did. I get the hype now. This stuff is amazing and totally keeping and adding it to my skincare routine for Winter. Don’t forget you can use it all over your body was well and trust me it works amazing on my dry elbows and knees!

Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream is on sale now so grab it while you can at a discount. And if you use already please share your thoughts on it!
