How to Reach Your Goals During the Holidays

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But with all the fun holiday festivities also comes a little chaos that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and struggling to stay on track with your goals. 

Don’t stress – I’ve got you covered! I’m gonna make it easy for you to not only avoid gaining weight this holiday season, but also help you see results by Christmas

Whether you’re at home or jet-setting to visit family, here are some quick and effective tips to help you stay active and focused on your goals.

Embrace Quickies:

During the holidays, time is EVERYTHING and nothing can save you more time than a quick high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session. I love that they only take 15-20 minutes and I have tons of them in my MOVE app for you to try!

These workouts torch calories and keep your metabolism revved up, even after you’re done exercising. Plus, since you don’t usually need any gear, you can do them home, or in a small corner of your hotel room if you’re on the go. 

Move Together:

It might seem hard to squeeze in even 15 minutes when you spending time with family and friend, but you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Try planning a family hike, an afternoon of ice skating, or something else that gets you all moving!

Maybe it isn’t your full out workout, but at least you’re staying active and having fun together! 

YOU Time:

During the holidays, our schedules can get pretty chaotic and leave you feeling like you have no time left in your day for you!

Make a point to schedule in your workouts and self care each day. Even if it’s 20 minutes you need this time for your mental and physical health now more than ever!

Block out time in your calendar and  treat it like an appointment. If it’s important to you, you will find the time and believe me, you’ll be thanking yourself come January. 

Sweet Swaps:

You don’t have to sacrifice your favorite holiday treats in order to see results, but you do need to make a few tweaks.

Swap out sugary treats for healthier alternatives you will feel good about!
